5、invadeintominorculturesforthesecondtime.That’swhyVenuti,withacriticalattitude,pointsoutthat“foreignization”insteadof“domestication”shoulddominatethetranslatingofaminorcultureintoamajoronesoastoguaranteeequalityininternationalculturalexchanges.However,Venutihas

6、neglectedoneimportantaspectoftheequalityissueconcerningcross-borderculturalcommunication.Thatis,itisamulti-dimensionalprocessofinformationflow,oneofwhichundoubtedlyisaflowfromaminorculturetoamajorone;moreover,areverseaswellasexchangesalsoexistbetweenamain-stre

7、amandanalternativeculture,stereotypednobleandhumbleunderthecircumstanceofthesecondinvasionofthemajorintotheminor.When“foreignization”isadvocatedtodominateatranslationofaminorintoamajorculture,weshoulddwellontheissueofwhatstrategytoadopttotranslateamajorculture

8、intoaminorone.Startingfromaperspectiveofcosmopolitanism,thisresearchmaintainsthat“domestication”shouldassumethetasktoprotecttheminorculturesinordertoevadethephenomenonofminorcultur
