3、tryofagricultureinMay24,2002(No.fourteenthoftheMinistryofAgriculture)wererepealedsimultaneously.Twoyears,January21stMeasuresfortheadministrationofanimalquarantineChapter1GeneralProvisionsThefirstistostrengthenanimalquarantineactivitiesmanagement,prevention,controlandexterminationoftheanimalepidemi

4、c,ensurethesafetyofanimalsandanimalproducts,theprotectionofhumanhealth,themaintenanceofpublichealthandsafety,accordingtothe"People'sRepublicofChinaanimalepidemicpreventionlaw"(hereinafterreferredtoasthe"lawonanimalepidemicprevention"),thesemeasuresareformulated.Thesesecondmeasuresareapplicabletoan

5、imalquarantineactivitiesintheterritoryofthePeople'sRepublicofChina.ThethirdMinistryofagricultureisinchargeofanimalquarantineworkthroughoutthecountry.Theveterinaryadministrativedepartmentsofthelocalpeople'sgovernmentsatorabovethecountylevelareinchargeofanimalquarantineworkwithintheirrespectiveadmin

6、istrativeareas.Theanimalhealthsupervisioninstitutionsestablishedbythelocalpeople'sgovernmentsatorabovethecountylevelareresponsibleforthequarantineandsupervisionofanimalandanimalproductswithintheiradministrativeareas.Thescope,objectandregulationofthefourthanimalquarantineshallbeformulated,adjusteda

7、ndpromulgatedbytheMinistryofagriculture.Fifthanimalhealthsupervisioninstitutionsassigntheofficialveterinariantocarryoutquarantine,animalhusbandryandanimalproductsaccordingtotheanimalepidemicpreventionlawandthepro
