4、eachingmethod,takingthewordsandgrammarasthemainteachinggoal,neglectingthetrainingofreadingskillsandtheusingof“schemata”knowledge.ThispaperdiscussesthetypesandfunctionsoftheschemaknowledgeonEnglishreading,andpointsouthowschematheoryistobeappliedtoEnglishreadingclasses.Teachersshouldguideth

5、estudentstomakethebestoftheschemaknowledge,soastoimprovetheirEnglishreadingabilitiesandarousetheirEnglishreadinginterests.Schemacanbeusedintheunderstandingofthelanguage,readersuseschematofillininformationthatisn’tmentionedexplicitly.Whenreadinganewtext,readersneedtheabilitytorelatethetext
