4、ncytomaintainitsownnatureandbeitsownmaster—theresultofwhichmay"temporarily"becalledmind.Thisminditselfisonepartofthe"originalmind,"whichinitsvariousaspectsismind,will,andconsciousness.Itcanreadilybeseenthattheideasofclosingandopeningandpro-ductionandreproductionc

5、omefromtheBookofChanges,which,Hsiungsaid,isthemainsourceofhisideas.TheanalysisofthemindcomesfromtheBuddhistschoolofConsciousness-Only,theideaoftheunityofsubstanceandfunctionfromNeo-Confucianism,andthatoftheprimacyoftheoriginalmindfromWangYang-ming(WangShou-jen,14
