2、encyinallearlyyearssettings·asecurefoundationthatwillallowallchildrengoodprogressthroughschoolandlife·partnershipsbetweendifferentpractitioners·partnershipsbetweenparentsorcarersandpractitioners·equalityofopportunityforallchildrenThe revised EYFS waspublishedon27March2012,a

3、ndcameintoforceon1September2012.Itaimstoreduceburdens,includingunnecessaryregulationandpaperwork,soprofessionalshavemoretimetoconcentrateonsupportingchildren.EYFS profileAllearlyyearsprovidersmustcompletean EYFS profileforeachchildinthefinaltermoftheyearinwhichtheyturn5.For

4、mostchildrenthisisthereceptionyearinprimaryschool.Themainpurposeistoprovideanaccurateassessmentofindividualchildrenattheendofthe EYFS.Theprofiledescribeseachchild’sattainmentagainst17earlylearninggoalstogetherwithashortnarrativeabouttheirlearningcharacteristics.Arevised EYF

5、S profilecameintoeffectinSeptember2012.IssueProvidingchildrenwithgoodqualityeducationandcareintheirearliestyearscanhelpthemsucceedatschoolandlaterinlife,contributingtoasocietywhereopportunitiesareequalregardlessofbackground.Affordableandeasilyaccessiblechildcareisalsocrucia

6、lforworkingfamilies.Itcanalsohelpcreatemoreopportunitiesforwomenwhowish,orneed,toworkandraisechildrenatthesametime.Webelievewecanimproveearlyeducationbybuildingastrongerandbetterqualifiedearlyyearsworkforce.Wewillalsoaimtoprovidemoregoodqualitychildcarewhichisaffordable.Act

7、ionsToextendearlyeducationtothosewhoneeditmost,andtogiveparentsgreaterchoiceofchildcare,wewill:·introduceearlylearningplacesforthe20%mostdisadvantaged2-year-oldsfromSeptember2013·introduceearlylearningplacesforaround40%ofall2-year-oldsfromSeptember2014·helpparentsaccessmore
