6、anRNAgenomeofca.28kb)werefirstidentifiedinItalyinsamplesfrom2009butdoi:10.1111/tbed.12579havenotbeendetectedtheresince2012.AcloselyrelatedviruswasdetectedinarchivedsamplesinGermanyfrom2012,buthasnotbeendetectedsubsequently.Buildingontheinitialsequencedata,furth
7、erampliconsweregeneratedandover9kbofsequencecorrespondingtothe30-terminusofthenewSeCoVgenomewasdetermined.SequencecomparisonsshowedthatthethreeknownSeCoVsare≥98%identicalacrossthisregionandcontaintheS-geneand3asequencesfromPEDVwithinabackboneofTGEV,buttheviru
8、sesareclearlydistinctfromeachother.Itisdemonstrated,forthefirsttime,thatpigsfromwithintheSeCoV-infectedherdseroconvertedagainstPEDVbuttestednegativeinaTGEV-specificELISAthatdetectsantibodie
