3、galpha-andbetacoronavirus–specificprimers(originallybasedonprim-hesevereacuterespiratorysyndrome(SARS)epi-TersfromWooetal.2005)targetingtheRNA-dependentRNAdemicinChinain2002,resultedin8422laboratorycon-polymerase(RdRp)gene(availableonrequest).PCRampli-firmedhuman

4、caseswith916mortalities(Chan-YeungandconswerepurifiedwiththeWizardSVgelandPCRClean-UpXu2003).Thecausativeagentwasanewlyemergentcor-System(Promega,USA)accordingtothemanufacturer’sin-onavirus(CoV)thatmayhaveoriginatedfromasimilarvirus,structionsandsequencedwiththe

5、BigDyeterminatorV3.1KitSARS-relatedCoV,discoveredintheChinesehorseshoebats(AppliedBiosystems,USA),editedinCLCBiomainwork-(Rhinolophusspp.)(Lauetal.2005).Thisstimulatedfurtherbenchv6(CLCbio,Denmark)andalignedusingClustalXininvestigationsintothepresenceanddiversi

6、tyofbatcor-BioEdit(Hall1999).Aneighbor-joiningphylogenetictreeonaviruses(BtCoV)globally,andthesestudieshavecon-wasconstructedwith1000bootstrapreplicatesinMEGA5comitantlyledtothedescriptionofvariousnovelBtCoVs(Tamuraetal.2011).(Poonetal.2005,Drexleretal.2010,Reu

7、skenetal.2010).StudiesofAfricanbatspecieshaverevealedthepresenceofbatcoronaviruses;uniquealphacoronavirusesrelatedtotheResultsandDiscussionhumancoronavirus229EaswellasBetacoronavirusmembersAtotalof113gastrointestinalspecimenswereanalyzedVector-BorneandZoonoticD
