5、wasadministeredinordertojudgewhetherrelevantcollegeEnglishsyllabuseshadbeeneffectivelyimplemented.Inthefollowingyears,invirtueoftheincreaseofChinasinternationalcommunicationanditseconomicdevelopmcnt,theimportanccofthistesthasbeensoincrediblystrengthenedthatalmostevery

6、universitystudenthastostudyEnglish,andalargeproportionofthemhavetotakeCET(BandIVorBandVI)andpassitasaprerequisiteofbeingconferredtheacademicdegree•Someexpertsinsistthatcol1egeEnglishteachinginChinahasmade"considerableprogressnas6.75millionuniversitystudentshavepassedC
