3、lresourcesofthelan-guagecanbeusedanddevelopedtobecomemoreadequate.InparticularitarguesagainstthepositionofHallidayandMartinthatadequacycanbeachievedbyscienceabandoningnomi-nalizationorgrammaticalmetaphor,andpointsoutthat,onthecontrary,thesestructuresemphasizetheprimacyofproce
4、ssanddownplayanthropocentrism.Itbeginsinsection2byexplaining'grammaticalmetaphor',showingthatcongruentandliterallanguageusecanberegardedasconventionalizedmetaphor.Itcontinuesbytryingtoaccountforthe'naturalness',theMarxist/humanistreality,whichweaccordtocongruentstructures,int
