3、nsalong{111}slipplanes.Theseobservationsareincontrasttotheusualdescriptionofthesestructuresas"random"dislocationtangles.Withincreasingstrain,agrainissubdividedintoseveraldomainsofdifferentlyorientedTaylorlattices.Thenewlyobservedboundariesbetweendifferentdomainsarelongsingledislocat

4、ionswallsformedalong'qIl1}.Asafurtherevolutionaryprogression,thesinglewalleddomainboundariesdevelopintomicrobands.Theobservedgrainsubdivisionparallelsthatobservedincellformingmetals.SubdivisionoccurstoaccommodatestrainusingfewerslipsystemsthanrequiredbytheTaylorcriterion.I.INTRODUCT
