2、t,andassociatedelectronicsthatevaluateandamplifythedetectedsignalcausingthephotoelectric’soutputswitchtochangestate.Weareallfamiliarwiththesimpleapplicationofaphotoelectricsensorplacedintheentranceofastoretoalertthepresenceofacustomer.This,ofcourse,isonlyonepossibleapplication.8
3、0ModulatedLightModulatedlightincreasesthesensingrangewhilereducingtheeffectofambientlight.Modulatedlightispulsedataspecificfrequencybetween5and30KHz.Thephotoelectricsensorisabletodistinguishthemodulatedlightfromambientlight.Lightsourcesusedbythesesensorsrangeinthelightspectrumfr
4、omvisiblegreentoinvisibleinfrared.Light-emittingdiode(LED)sourcesaretypicallyused.ClearanceItispossiblethattwophotoelectricdevicesoperatingincloseproximitytoeachothercancauseinterference.Theproblemmayberectifiedwithalignmentorcovers.Thefollowingclearancesbetweensensorsaregivenas
