3、requireamobile,scalablepowergridthatiseasilyconstructedandrobustenoughtohandleradicalsystemchanges.Thesemicrogridsareusuallybuiltusinglow-inertiageneratorsthatareportableandcaneasilyadapttoarapidlychangingenvironment.Despitethebenefitsoflow-inertiagene

4、ration,thedrawbackisthatlargeloadstepscancauseasystemtobecomeunstable,losingsynchronismanddamagingbothgeneratorsandloads.Acontrolsystemisnecessarytobringstabilitywhileprovidingefficientandrobustelectricitytothemicrogrid.Adroopcontrolschemeusesonlylocal

5、powertodetectchangesinthesystemandadjusttheoperatingpointsofthegeneratorsaccordingly.Thedroopcontrolusestherealpoweroutofageneratortocalculatetheidealoperatingfrequency.Thisrelaxingofastifffrequencyallowsthemicrogridtodampenthefasteffectsofchangingload

6、s,increasingthestabilityofthesystem.Droopcontrolisreviewedandsimulationswillbeusedtodeterminetheeffectivenessofthedroopcontrolleraswellasalternativeformsofthetraditionaldroopcontrol.Experimentalresultsarepresenteddetailinghowthedroopgainaffectspowerdis
