3、sorptionofbothcysteineandthetraceelementinquestion.Hence,usingcopperasanexample,orallyadministeredcysteinemarkedlyimprovesgrowthandreduceslivercopperdepositioninchicksorratsfedahighlevelofinorganiccopper.Likewise,excessivecopperingestionimpairssulfuraminoacid(SAA)utilizatio
4、nandincreasesthedietaryrequirementforSAA.Cobaltandseleniumtoxicitiesjn.nutrition.orgarealsoamelioratedbyoralcysteineingestion,withtheresponsesbeingevenmorestrikingthanthoseoccurringwithcoppertoxicity.Whileinorganicarsenicpoisoningsaregenerallyamelioratedbyadministeringcyste
