3、eheavyuseofnetworkstohelpplananddisplaythecoordinationofalltheactivities.Theyalsonormallyuseasoftwarepackagetodealwithallthedataneededtodevelopscheduleinformationandthentomonitortheprogressoftheproject.Projectmanagementsoftware,suchasMSProjectintextbookORCourseware,nowiswidelyavailab

5、ionofamajorfacility8.Maintenanceofanuclearreactor9.Installationofamanagementinformationsystem10.Conductinganadvertisingcampaign……PERTandCPMwereindependentlydevelopedinthelate1950s.Eversince,theyhavebeenamongthemostwidelyusedSEtechniques.TheoriginalversionsofPERTandCPMhadsomeimportant

6、differences.However,theyalsohadagreatdealincommon,andthetwotechniqueshavegraduallymergedfurtherovertheyears.Infact,today'ssoftwarepackagesoftenincludealltheimportantoptionsfrombothoriginalversions.Consequently,practitionersnowcommonlycombinethemintothesingleacronymPERT/CPM,asweoftenw
