2、explicitcontentofutterances,theimplicatedpremisesandconclusionsthatcanbederived,andtherightamountofcontextualinformationneededtoobtainthem.Whenappliedtojokes,arelevance-theoreticclassificationmaybeproposeddependingonwhetherthehumoristplayswiththeaudience’si
3、nferentialactivityaimedatanexplicitinterpretation,withtheaudience’sinferencedevotedtoderivingimplicationsorwiththeiraccesstotherightamountandqualityofcontextualinformationneededtoobtainrelevantinterpretations.Inthispaperthreetypesofjokesareproposedwhichfocu
