6、Fe2Al5)wasdevelopedattheinterfacebetweenthealuminizingmetalandthesteelsubstrate.Theeffectsonitsgrowthandmorphologyresultedduetovariationincompositionsofaluminizingmetal,carboncontentofthesteelsubstrate,aluminizingtemperatures(675~950°C)anddippingtimes(1~10minut

7、es)wereinvestigated.InthepureAl,theintermetalliclayerwasthickanditshowedafinger-likegrowthwiththesubstrate.WhileintheAl-Cualloy,itwasthinenoughanditsgrowthwasalmostsmoother.Itsthinningwasattributedtotheformationoftetragonalintermetallicphases,Al2CuandAl7Cu2Fe,o

8、nsurfaceofthealuminizedsteel.Inbothmelts,itsthicknessincreasedwithincreasingthealuminizingtemperaturesintherange675-775°C,whileabovethisrangefoundACCEPTEDMANUSCRIPTconstant.
