4、ledcontextualists)whothinkthattheindexical‘I’andthecommonnoun‘penguin’belongtothesamecategoryandwhothinkthatthesetypesofexpressionsarecontext-sensitiveinjustthesameway.Butofcoursecontextualistsdonotthinkanythingofthesort.Infact,manyofthosewhohavediscussedvariouskindsofco

6、aimsinBezuidenhout(2002)wastosystematicallydistinguishthesortofcontext-sensitivitythatIwasinterestedinfromarangeofotherphenomena(includingambiguity,polysemy,indexicality,ellipsis,vagueness,nonceuse,etc.).ItisinterestingthateveryexampleofminethatiscitedbyCappelenandLepore
