4、noscrollsbytheone-steprouteproceededonlybyseveralalkyltrimethylammoniumsaltsand1-hexadecyl-3-methylimidazoliumchloride.Intercalationofprimaryaminescausedtheformationofnanoscrollsbyatwo-steprouteinwhichtheintercalationandswellingproceedseparately.Thesuccessfulo
5、ne-steprouteisascribedtotherelativelyweakinteractionsbetweentheheadgroupsofguestspeciesandtheinterlayersurfaceofmethoxy-modifiedkaolinite,andtheinteractionisthoughttoallowtheformationofaflexiblearrayofinterlayerguestspeciesforswelling.Thetubularstructurewasmos
6、tlyretainedaftertheheattreatmentat600°Ctoformhierarchicallyporousaluminosilicateswithamorphousframeworks.Thenanoscrollsintercalatedorganicguestsspecies,whicharenotdirectlyintercalatedintomethoxy-modifiedkaolinite,betweenthescrolledlayers.Theformationroutetonan
7、oscrollsisquitedependentnotonlyonthesurfacemodificationofkaolinitebutalsoonthestructureofguestspecies.1.Introductionlayeredmaterialscanbeexfoliatedandtransformedintonanosc-rolls.Therefore,chemicalinsightsintotheweakeningoftheInorganiclayeredmaterialsarequiteus
