2、bythesametypeofplaterestingonatensionlessfoundation.Thefoundationisregardedasathreedimensionalelastichalf-spaceentitywhileitsweakeningdeformationisconsidered.Themechanicalloadsconsistoftransversepartiallydistributedimpulsiveloadsandin-planestaticedgeloadswhilethetem
3、peraturefieldisassumedtoexhibitalinearvariationthroughthethicknessoftheplate.Thetwocasesofinitiallycompressedplatesandofinitiallyheatedplatesareconsidered.TheformulationsarebasedonReissner-Mindlinfirstordersheardeformationplatetheoryandincludetheplate-foundationinte

5、lessfoundation,thecontactsurfaceisassumedunbondedandfrictionless.Aniterativeschemeisdevelopedtoobtainnumericalresultswithoutusinganyassumptionontheshapemodecurves.Severaltestproblemsareexaminedtodemonstratetheaccuracyandeffectivenessoftheproposedmethod.Theeffectsofp
6、lategeometricparameters,loadingparametersandinitialmembranestressaswellasthermalbendingstressonthedynamicresponseoftheplatearestudied.Thenumericalillustrationsconcernmoderlatelythickplateswithfourfreeedgesrestingontensionlesselastichalf-spacefoundations,fromwhichres
