6、ulations2005andshallcomeintoforceon6thJuly2005.(a)1974c.37;sections11(2),15(1)and50(3)wereamendedbytheEmploymentProtectionAct1975c.71,Schedule15,paragraphs4,6and16(3)respectively.Interpretation2.—(1)IntheseRegulations—“dailyexposure”meansthequantityofmech
7、anicalvibrationtowhichaworkerisexposedduringaworkingday,normalisedtoan8-hourreferenceperiod,whichtakesaccountofthemagnitudeanddurationofthevibration;“emergencyservices”include—(a)police,fire,rescueandambulanceservices;(b)HerMajesty’sCoastguard;“enforcinga
8、uthority”meanstheExecutiveorlocalauthority,determinedinaccordancewiththeprovisionsoftheHealthandSafety(EnforcingAuthority)Regulations1998(a);“exposureactionvalue”meansthelevelofdailyexposuresetoutinregulation4forany
