3、iesdespiteincreasingresourcesdevotedtoreducingantisocialbehaviour.Methods.Beginningwithabasictwo-persongame,amulti-personevolul1onarymodelisdeveloped,Accordingtothemodel,changesinthefrequencyofAPDinthepopulationdependonfrequency-dependentDarwinianselecti
4、onoraformofsocialevolutionthatmimicsit.Results.Thepopulationevolvestoastableequilibriumwithafixedproportionofindivlclualshabituallybehavingantisocially,anclwithsuitablepayoffstheproportionofantisocialindividualscorrespondstotheknownprevalenceofAPD.Anunex
5、pectedresultoftheanalysisisthefindingthattheprevalenceISnecessarilylowwhentherelativegainfrombehavingantisociallytowardsacooperatorisverymuchsmallerthantherelativelosstothecooperator.Conclusion.Themodelprovidesanevolutionarygame-theoreticexplanationforth
6、elowbutstahleprevalenceofAPD.Iftheevolutionarymechanismissocialratherthanbiological,thenremovingincreasingnumbersofantisocialindividualsfromsocietywillresultinotherstakingtheirplaces,andthepopulationwillreturntotheequilibriumpoint.TheAmericanPsychiatricA
