4、ridgetooksevenyearstobuild,andwascompletedin1937.TheGoldenGateBridgeusedtobethelongestsuspensionbridgespanintheworld.AndtodayithasbecomeoneofthemostpopulartouristattractionsinSanFranciscoandCalifornia.Sinceitscompletion,thespanlengthhasbeensurpassedbyeightotherbridges
5、.Thefamousred-orangecolorofthebridgewasspecificallychosentomakethebridgemoreeasilyvisiblethroughthethickfrogthatfrequentlycoversthebridge.MillauBridgeStartedin1998andopenedtotrafficin2005,theMillauViaductisahugecable-stayedroad-bridgethatspansthevalleyoftheriverTarnne
6、arMillauinsouthernFrance.Itisthetallesthighwaybridgeintheworld,withthehighestpylon’ssummitat343meters—slightlytallerthantheEiffelTower.Thespeedlimitonthebridgewasreducedfrom130km/hto110km/hbecauseoftrafficslowingdown,duetotouriststakingpicturesofthebridgefromthevehicl
7、es.Shortlyafterthebridgeopenedtotraffic,passengerswerestoppingtoadmirethelandscapeandthebridgeitself.CharlesbridgeTheCharlesBridgeisafamousstoneGothicbridgethatcrossestheVltavaRiverinPrague,CzechRepublic.Itsconstructionstartedin1357underthesupportofKingCharlesIV,andfi
