2、ABSTRACTFlower-liketelluriumwithuniformbrancheswassuccessfullypreparedinlargequantitiesbyasurfactant-assistedmethod.TheproductwascharacterizedwithX-raydiffraction(XRD),scanningelectronicmicroscopy(SEM),transmissionelectronicmicroscopy(TEM),selectedareaelectr
3、onicdiffraction(SAED)andenergydispersiveX-rayspectroscopy(EDS).Thecharacterizationresultsrevealedthatthestructureofthebranchofflower-likeTewasgrownalongthe(001)crystalplane.Furthermore,theRamanspectrumoftheflower-liketelluriumwithuniformbrancheswasstudied.Th

5、sted1.IntroductionInpastdecades,two-orthree-dimensionalnanostructureshavebeenthefocusofcurrentresearchonmicro-/nanomaterialsbecausepropertiesandapplicationsofthematerialsaredependentonthespatialarrangementandorientationofthenanocrystals[1-2].Todate,synthesis
6、ofcomplexmicro/nanostructures,includingfractalpatterns,dendrites,andotherhierarchicalstructures,hasattractedgreatattentionbecausestudiesonthesehyperbranchedstructuresareusefultofabricateelectronicorphotonicnanodevices[3].Recently,manyeffectivemethodsofsynthe
7、sizingfunctionalmaterialswithcomplexthree-dimensionalnanostructureshavebeeninvestigated[4].Forthefabricationofsuchsuperstructures,theemploymentofappropriateorganicligandorsurfactantisgenerallynecessaryastheshapemodifier[5].Oneofthemostattractivematerialsiste
8、lluriumbecauseitexhibitsmanyfascinatingproperties,forexample,semiconductivity,thermoelectricity,nonlinearopticalresponses,uniquephotoconductivity,highpiezoelectricity,andcatalyticactivitytowards
