1、摘要在语言学习和教学过程中，英语阅读教学起着举足轻重的作用。初中英语《课程标准》中明确规定：“阅读教学的目的是让学生通过阅读贴近时代、贴近学生英语水平的大量读物去获取信息，培养和发展阅读技能和策略，为继续学习和终身学习打下基础。’’然而，目前在广大农村初中，传统的过多重视词汇、语法讲解等教学方法仍大量使用，忽视了背景知识、阅读技巧等阅读能力的培养，造成了学生阅读能力的低下。因此，研究农村教师如何在英语阅读教学中，积极有效地培养学生的阅读能力，使学生掌握相关的阅读策略，养成良好的阅读习惯已迫在眉睫。基于上述认识，在现代教育教学理论尤其是阅读教学理论指导下，
