5、uenceintheprocessofsecondlanguageacquisitioniscalledthephenomenonofnegativetransferofmothertongue.Asweallknow,writingabilityisanimportantpartofsecondlanguageacquisition.However,juniormiddleschoolstudentsinChinastarttolearnEnglishonlyaftertheyhavemasteredthemothertongue,the

6、refore,theirwritingprocessisinevitablyaffectedbythenegativetransferofmothertongue.ThisresearchtookGradetwostudentswhowerefromfiveclassesatDaqiaoForeignLanguageSchoolinChangchuncityasobjectsandanalyzedthenegativetransferofmothertongueonwritingabilityofmiddleschoolstudentsth

7、roughstudents’compositionsamples,questionnairesandinterview.Thefindingsshowedthatthenegativetransferofmothertonguemainlyaffectedjuniormiddleschoolstudents’writingprocessintheseaspects,thatis,vocabulary,syntax,discourseandculture.Andthisphenomenonisaseriousimpedimenttotheim
