2、ledinformationontheelementsthatmakeupthesystem.ThissectiondescribeshowtotaketheinformationgatheredintheprevioussectionanduseittocreateanINPREPfile.ThissectionalsodescribeshowtorunthecompletedINPREPfilethroughPREPRandhowtocorrectsomecommonmistakes.Formoredetails,seetheHelpandReference.Creatingthe

3、modelfileTocreatethemodelfile,anystandardtexteditorcanbeused.ForUNIX,programssuchasemacs,VI,andthevariousgraphicaltexteditorsarecommonlyused.ForWindowsmachines,theNotepadorasimilareditormaybeused.Otherprograms,suchasMicrosoft®Wordmaybeused,butthefilesmustbeexportedorsavedasASCIItextfiles.Thefile

4、namefortheINPREPfilemustendwiththeINPREPsuffix.Somedatarequiremultipleinputlines.Normally,additionalinputlinesstartwithaplus(+)followedbyaspace.Anotherconventioncommonlyusedisthecharactersequence/*,whichmakestherestofthelineacomment.Defaultinputvaluesareusedbyplacinga*asaplaceholder.Examplesofth

5、esewillbepresentedinoursampleINPREPfile.RecommendedandrequiredstructureINPREPfilesaredividedintotwomajorsections:generalandequipment.Thegeneralsectionappearsfirstandcontainsglobalinformationthatappliestothewholemodel,suchastheenvironmentalconditionsandtheequationofstatetouseforfluidpropertycalcu
