4、nEnglishandwrittenEnglish?30spokentextsand30writtentexts,eachwithalengthof1,500-2,000words,werecomparedintermsofthedistributionpatternandthequantitativeuseofcontractiveresourcesandexpansiveresources.Distributionpatternsofengagementresourceswerecomparedintermsofdistri

5、butionalcompositionanddistributionalevenness.Distributionalcompositionpresentstherankingtrendoftheproportionsofthetypesofengagementresources.Distributionalevennesscomparesthebalancesbetweentheproportionsofthetypesofengagementresources.Thequantitativeusesofengagementd

6、evicesinspokenlanguageandwrittenlanguagewerecomparedthroughIndependent-samplet-tests.Theresultsshowedthatspokenlanguageandwrittenlanguageweregenerallydifferentinthedistributionpatternofengagementresources.Differenceswerefoundinthedistributionalcompositionofoveralleng

7、agementresources,dialogicexpansion,disclaimandproclaimbetweenthetwoformsoflanguage.Differenceswerealsofoundinthedistributionalevennessofoverallengagementresources,dialogiccontraction,disclaim,proclaimandattributebetweenthetwoformsoflanguage.Theengagementresourceswere

8、moreevenlydistributedinwrittenlanguagethaninspokenlanguage.Asforthequantitativeuse,thefrequenciesofengagementresourcesweredifferent
