2、ckion-sliced,single-crystallinelithiumniobatethinfilmsbondedonalithiumniobatesubstrateusingadhesivepolymerbenzocyclobutene(BCB).Focusedionbeam(FIB)millingisusedforfastprototypingofphotoniccrystalstructureswithregularcylindricalholes.Unwantedredepositioneffectsleadingtoconicallyshapedholesinlithium

3、niobateareminimizedduetothesoftBCBlayerunderneath.Ahighrefractiveindexcontrastof0.65betweenthelithiumniobatethinfilmandtheBCBunderlayerenablesstronglightconfinementintheverticaldirection.ForTEpolarizedlightatriangularphotoniccrystallatticeofairholeswithadiameterof240nmandaseparationof500nmhasaphoto

4、nicbandgapinthewavelengthrangefrom1390to1500nm.ExperimentallymeasuredtransmissionspectrashowaspectralpowerdipfortheΓKdirectionofthereciprocallatticewithanextinctionratioofupto15dB.Thisisingoodagreementwithnumericalsimulationsbasedonthethree-dimensionalplanewaveexpansion(PWE)andthefinite-difference
