3、affixessuchas“-speak，一friendly,men(-门)，zu(一族)，nu(．奴)，"haveproducedmanynewwordslike‘‘lawyer-speak'’，‘‘society-friendly'’，‘'yanzhaomen(艳照f-1)"，‘'fangnu(房奴)"and‘'yueguangzu(月光族)"inourlifeconstantly，whichhasattractedgreatattentionfrommanyscholars．ThustheresearchonEnglishandChin

4、esequasi—affixesisinaprocessofgraduallychangingfromasingle-leveledresearchtopictoamulti-facedandmulti—angledone．Throughthestudyofrelevantliterature，wehavefoundthatmostofthepreviousscholarsareanalyzingthedefinition，scopeandnatureofquasi-affixesbasedonstudyingthecharacteristi

5、csoftheirforms．Therearesomearticlesinvolvingthecausesoftheproductionofquasi-affixes，andsomearticlestryingtomakeapreliminaryanalysisofChinesequasi—affixesbyemployingtheConceptualBlendingTheory，butonlyafewscholarshavestudiedtheword-buildingfeatures，themeaningconstructionandco

6、gnitivesemanticmechanismsofEnglishandChinesequasi-affixes．Thispaper，treatingtheEnglishandChinesequasi—affixeswhichareproducedandwidelyusedsincethe20thcenturyastheresearchobject，makesacomparativelycomprehensiveandsystematicdescriptionontheclassificationandword—buildingfeatur
