2、—structuralinterviews.Thedataneededwerecollectedfrom30questionnairesand5interviewswithseniorhighschoolnoviceEFLteachersinHangzhou.QuestionnairesincludeNoviceEFLTeacherBeliefsInventory(NETBDandFactorsAffectingNoviceEFLTeacherBeliefsInventory(FAD.NETBIincludesnoviceEFLteach
3、erbeliefsaboutstudents,teaching,themselvesandaboutstudents’Engl括hlearning.FAIincludesinternalfactors(gender,age,teachingyear,degree,teachers’experienceandteachers’self-efficacy)andexternalfactors(schooltype,students’performance,workpressure,parentalinvolvement,colleagues,
4、participatorydecisionmaMng,promotion,resourceadequacyandNewCurriculumStandardPoBcy).Thesemi—structuralinterviewswereusedtomeasurenoviceEFLteacherbeBefsaboutstudentsandteachingaswellasfactorsinfluencingnoviceEFLteacherbeliefs.Thedatacollectedthroughquestionnairesthenwereco
5、mputedbyPearsonCorrelationAnalysisandMultipleRegressionAnalysiswithSPSS17.0.Theinformationobtainedthroughsemi-structuralinterviewsservesassupplementtothestudy.nlefindingsofthefmalresearchinclude:1)Seniorhi.ghschoolnoviceEFLteachersinHangzhouhaveopenteacherbeliefswhichkeep
6、inlinewithrequirementsofNewCurriculumReformPolicy.2)Teachers’self-efficacy,teachers’experience,smden跆’performanceandcolleagueshavesignificantlypositiveinfluenceonnoviceEFLteachers.3)Students’performanceandteachers’self-efficacyaretwopredictorsofnoviceEFLteacherbeliefs.Stu
7、dents’performanceaccountsfor41.6%ofthevarianceswhileStudents’performanceandteachers’self-efficacyintotalaccountfor52.5%variances.Basedontheresearchfindings,foursuggestionsaregiven:1)Concernsshouldbegiventoimprovestudents’performance.2)NoviceEFLteachersshouldworkhardtoimpr
