2、influentialisthatitchallengesourassumptionsinsomesignificantway.However,establishedwaysforarrivingatresearchquestionsmeanspottingorconstructinggapsinexistingtheoriesratherthanchallengingtheirassumptions.Weproposeproblematizationasamethodologyforident
3、ifyingandchallengingassumptionsunderlyingexistinglit-eratureand,basedonthat,formulatingresearchquestionsthatarelikelytoleadtomoreinfluentialtheories.Asresearchers,weallwanttoproduceinter-lengingtheassumptionsunderlyingexistingestingandinfluentialtheo
4、ries.Thedominanttheories,thereforeappearstobeacentralingre-viewisthatatheorybecomesinfluentialifitisdientinthedevelopmentofmoreinterestingregardedastrue.However,inhisseminalstudyandinfluentialtheorieswithinmanagementDavis(1971)showedthatwhatmakesathe
5、orystudies.However,establishedwaysofgenerat-notable,andsometimesevenfamous(Davis,ingresearchquestionsrarelyexpressmoream-1986),isnotonlythatitisseenastruebutalso,bitiousandsystematicattemptstochallengeandmoreimportant,thatitisseenaschalleng-theassump
