3、nglishasthedatasources.Finally,throughtheanalysisofthecognitivemechanismsoftime,thethesissummarizessimilaritiesanddifferencesbetweenEnglishandChinesetemporalexpressions.ThethesistakesLevinson’sspatialframesofreferenceasthefoundation,throughmetaphoricalmapping

4、,constructingTemporalFramesofReference:RelativeFrameofReference,IntrinsicFrameofReferenceandAbsoluteFrameofReference.TemporalRelativeFrameofReferencehastheobserverasthereferencepoint.Accordingtodifferentperspectivesoftheobserver,therearetwosituations:(1)theob
