2、tationandsinglenucleotidepolymorphisms(SNPs)wereassociatedwiththeoccurrenceofcancers．ThehumanmtDNA，astheonlygeneticmaterialofextranuclear,isa16569bp，circularanddouble—strandedDNAcodingfor13polypeptidesinvolvedinrespiratorychaincomplexes，aswellas22transferRNAsand2ribosomalRNAsinvo

3、lvedinproteinsynthesisinmitochondria．Thedisplacementloop(D—Loop)istheonlynon-codingmtDNAregionwhichisimportantforregulatingbothreplicationandexpressionofmitochondrialgenomebecauseitcontainstheleading—strandoriginofreplicationandthemainpromoterfortranscription．Ithasbeenreposedthat

4、theD—Loopregionisahotspotformutationsandpolymorphismsindifferenttypesofcancers，includinggastriccancer．SNPsisthepolymorphismsinducedbysinglenucleotidevariationintheDNAsequence，whichhasbeenwidelyappliedtoresearchsusceptiblegenesofmultigenicdisease．Inthisstudy，theD-LoopregionofmtDNA
