1、ABSTRACTUnderthebackgroundofwhattheknowledgeeconomyisrapidlyrising,theprocessofglobaleconomicintegrationisgoingacceleration,companiesarefacingincreasinglyfiercecompetition,topmanagementintheformoftheteam'sexistenceisanimportantwaytomodernfirm’sbusinessandm
2、anagement.Asastrategicandoperationaldecisionmakerandimplementer,thesometeamcharacteristicsshowedbythetopmanagementteamaffectsfirmperformance.Therefore,buildinganefficienttopmanagementteamhasanimportantsignificanceforthedevelopmentoffirms.Thispaperreviewsth
3、ebasictheoryandempiricalresearchrelatedtothetopmanagementteam,andonthebasisofpreviousstudies,presentstheresearchtopics:therelationshipbetweentopmanagementteamheterogeneityandfirmperformance.Throughtheoreticalanalysis,thispaperputforwardrelevanthypothesizes
4、andbuildregressionmodels,select356A-sharemanufacturinglistedcompaniesthatlistedbeforeDecember31,2010inShanghaiandShenzhenstockexchanges,theuseofSPSSstatisticalsoftwarefordataanalysisandhypothesistesting.Theempiricalresultsshowthat:theteam’saverageeducation
5、allevelandteamsizehasapositiveimpactonfirmperformance;theteam’stenureheterogeneityandprofessionalbackgroundheterogeneityhasanegativeimpactonfirmperformance;theteam’seducationalmajorheterogeneityhasapositiveimpactonfirmperformance.Accordingtotheempiricalres
6、ults,thispapermakesreasonableexplanationsforthehypothesiswhichisnotsupported,thehypothesis,andputsforwardsomepracticalimplicationsabouttheestablishmentofanefficienttopmanagementteamofChina'smanufacturinglistedcompaniescombinedwithresearchfindings.Finally,t
