5、众明白整部电影的内容，就需要将电影翻译成中文，这其中就包括了电影片名的翻译。作为影片不可或缺的一部分，电影片名有其独特的语言特色和民族文化内涵，是电影艺术性和票房商业性的集中体现。电影片名翻译属于实用英语翻译的范畴。一部电影片名的功能就是要吸引观众走进影院去观赏这部电影，这也同样是翻译电影片名的目的。本文以起源于德国的功能派翻译理论为基础，对电影片名翻译的现象作出了解释，并分析了在目的论指导下，音译、直译、意译及改译几种翻译策略在英语电影片名汉译中的应用。关键词:电影片名翻译；功能翻译；目的论；翻译策略
