2、aritimeSilkRoad.ThesehavebeencalledthenewconceptsofChina'sdiplomacy.ThesetwoinitiativesofoverlandandmaritimeSilkRoadsaimtoseizetheopportunityofthefurtheropening-upofChina,especiallyopeninginthewestwarddirection.WewanttoupdatethespiritoftheancientSilkRoadandwo
3、rkwithrelevantcountriestoaddtwopowerfulwingstotherejuvenationofAsiaasawhole.TheSilkRoadwasfirsttraveledbytheChinesepeople2,000yearsago,butitbelongstothewholeworld.AtthecoreoftheSilkRoadspiritispeace,friendship,opennessandinclusiveness,whichhavebecomethecommon
4、assetsofhumancivilization.Thesetwoinitiativeswillfocusoneconomiccooperationandpeople-to-peopleandculturalexchangesandprioritizeconnectivityandtradeandinvestmentfacilitation.Wewillpursuetheseinitiativesthroughequal-footedconsultationandincrementalprogress,with
5、acleargoaltodeliverbenefitstoallandbuildacommunityofsharedinterests.Thedoorofthesetwoinitiativesiswideopen,anditwillproceedinparallelwiththeexistingcooperationmechanismsandideasintheregion.Wewelcomecountriesintheregionandotherinterestedcountriestotakeanactive
6、partinthesetwoinitiativessothattogether,wewilldiscussandbuildthemandbenefitfromthem.China'sdiplomacyin2013wasbroaderinhorizonandmoreactiveinconduct.Itwasnotjustasuccessfulyearunderthenewleadership,butalsoayearofinnovationandharvestforChina'sdiplomacy.In2014Ch
7、inawillcontinuetopursueanactiveforeignpolicy.Wewillfocusoureffortsontwomainareas.First,wewillbemoreactiveinservingtheeffortsofcomprehensivelydeepeningreforminChina.Wewillstrengthenfriendlyrelationswithallcountriesintheworld,especiallyourneighbors,andwewillcre
8、ateamoreenablingexternalenvironmentfordomesticreformanddevelopment.Wewillvigorouslypursueeconomicdiplomacy,deepenwin-wincooperationwithothercountriesandcreatemorefavorableconditionsforthe
