2、ofeconomics,culture,politics,socialscienceetc.inEnglishspeakingcountries,Englishbeesauniversalandpracticaltoolofgettingvariousfieldsofinformation.LearningEnglish,atpresent,isnotonlyafashionofreflectingprovinglivingstandardandsocialstatus.Therefore,thereisnoothermeanstochec
3、kthelevelofpeoplelearningoftheirEnglish,buttesting.Inpeople’srepublicofChina(PRC),nationally,atthemoment,anydifferenttestscoveringdifferentobjectives,especiallytheinclinationofgettingemployedasoneofevidences,asnon-nativespeakers:CET(CollegeEnglishTest),TEM(TestofEnglishMaj
4、or),MSET(MiddleSchoolEnglishTest)etc.ThispaperdiscussesthevalueofEnglishtesting,inteachingandlearningfieldsinthecampusofcollege,undertheanalysisoftheteachers’teachingpurposeandstudents’learningresulteansofenablingqualityofteachers’teachingandacquisitionofstudents’languagel
5、earning.Testingcoverstheaspectsofmeasurementandevaluationalthoughthesethreeconcepts(testing,measurementevaluation)areseteaning.Inthefolloainlydiscusstherelationsbeteasurement,hooraprogramagainstapredeterminedseriesofdatatoarriveatapredictableresultforthepurposeofestablishi
6、ngtheacceptabilityofthesystemorprogram.(ElectronicOxfordDictionary,2002).EnglishTestingisoneofkeyprocessesinEnglishlanguageteaching.ItspurposeistoprovethesuccessofEnglishTeachingandLearning,alsohelpsstudentstorevieore.Testingincludestestingtarget,testingcontentsandtestinga
