6、何实现新的英语课程的学习和该如何提高英语教学的质量，这是每一个英语教育工作者面临的现实问题。当前，随着旨在培养学生学会学习，学会发展和让学生获得终身学习能力的素质教育的全面发展推行，越来越多的教师已经认识到加强英语学习策略的研究及对学生学法指导的重要性。要提高学生的学习策略水平，使他们用良好的学习策略来控制自己的学习过程，成为一个能够真正独立学习，进行终身教育的人，是教学工作的一个重要任务，是21世纪人才培养的要求。《英语课程标准》阐明了中学英语教学目的首先是激发和培养学生的学习兴趣，帮助学生树立自信心，养成良好的学习习惯，发展自主学习
