3、nguageeducationinthepastintotheroleof“guestofhonor”atpresent.Theresearchershaveattachedgreatimportancetovocabularywiththeenhancementofthestatusofvocabularylearning.Wilkins(1972)(citedfromLessard-Clouston1996)，forexample,pointedout“whilewithoutgrammarveryli

4、ttlecanbeconveyed,withoutvocabularynothingcanbeconveyed”.KrashenandTerrell(1983)alsoclearlyindicated“vocabularyisofprimeconcerninL2settingsbecauseitplaysadominantroleinclassroomsuccess”.Inaword,itisobviousnowthatthegoodgraspofalargenumberofwordsisanessenti
