3、vestrategy;metacognitiveskills.iller(1993;1994)arguesthatinvieightbebetterdirectedelseprovedperformanceisnotnecessarilyacausal-effectrelationship.Theresearchliteraturecontainsaptstoteachlanguagelearningstrategies.TheseresearchersmainlyincludeO’MalleyandChamot(1990),cDonough’s(1999)revieainsvalid.O
4、bviously,theexplicitteachingofstrategieshasreceivedaconsiderableamountofattention.Mostofresearchersareinfavorinstrategytraining.InChina,thesummerinstituteonL2learningstrategytrainingandresearchp;alleyetal1985;Chamotetal1987)suggestthatlearners’abilitytouseabroadrangeofstrategiesflexiblymaydependto
5、alargeextentonthenatureofandrangeoftheinstructionaltasksintheclassroom.Hoaynotbepossibletopredictthekindsofstrategiesthatalearnerployinaparticulartask.Ontheonehand,strategyinstructionisdependentonthetasks;ontheotherhand,thetasksisunlikelytospecifycertainstrategiestobeusedbythelearners.Maybeitisbet
