3、.Uptonow,noconsensushasbeenreached.Inaddition,moreandmoreresearchesturntofocusontheeffectivenessofwrittencorrectivefeedbackontheimprovementoflearners’implicitandexplicitknowledge.BasedonthepreviousstudiesofWCF,thecurrentstudyadoptedthedesignwithpretest,treatment,immed
4、iateposttest,anddelayedposttestandexaminedtheeffectivenessoftwotypesofWCF,namely,directwrittenCFanddirectmetalinguisticwrittenCFonthedevelopmentofChineselearners’implicitandexplicitknowledge.ThetargetstructuresofthisstudywerethethreegrammaticalusesofEnglishtense:simpl
5、epresenttense,simplepasttenseandpresentperfecttense.Inaddition,howlanguageproficiencyaffectstheeffectoftwotypeswrittenCFwasalsoinvestigated.ThesubjectsofthisstudyweretheChineseEFLstudentswhocamefromthreeintactclassesofauniversityinDalian,Liaoningprovince.81freshmenfro
6、mthreeclassesofnon-Englishmajorstookpartinthestudy.Thewholestudylastedfor8weekswiththreetreatmentsessionsandthreetestingsessions.Inthethreetreatmentsessions,threetranslationtaskswereassignedtostudentsinthreedifferentgroupswhothanreceiveddifferenttypesofwrittencorrecti
