4、ctThepresentstudyaimstoexploretheeffectsofteacherwrittencorrectivefeedbackonthewritingaccuracyofChineseEnglishlearnersatseniorhighschools.Asiswell-known,linguisticerrorscouldseriouslyhindertheexpressionofthoughts.Alotofpreviousstudiesindicatethatteachers’writtencorrectivefeedback(WCF)

5、hasanimportanteffectontheimprovementofsecondlanguagelearners'writingaccuracy.However,whichkindofwrittencorrectivefeedbackismoreeffectivethanothersstillremainsanopenquestion.Resultsoftheexistingstudiesconcerningthisquestionarequitemixed,mainlyduetosomeflawsinresearchdesignandlittlecons

6、iderationaboutlearners’levelofthesecondlanguage.Inaddition,therelatedstudiestakingplaceinthecontextofEnglishlearninginChinesehighschoolsareverylimited.Basedonsuchabackground,thepresentstudyspecificallyexamineswhetherthedirectfeedbackwiththeprovisionofcorrectformsortheindirectfeedbacki

7、nthewayofunderliningwithaChinesedescriptionoftypesoferrorssignificantlyreducesthelinguisticerrorsinlearners’Englishcompositions,andattemptstoanswerwhichkindofwrittencorrectivefeedbackismorebeneficialtostudentsatthehigherandlowerEnglishlevels.Tworesearchquestionsareraised:1）Whateffects
