1、PERFORMANCEMANAGEMENTPOLICYTheGoverningBodyofHomertonChildren’sCentreadoptedthisperformancemanagementpolicyon31October2007.APPLICATIONOFTHEPOLICYThepolicyappliestotheheadteacherandtoallteachersemployedbytheschoolexceptteachersoncontractsoflessthanoneterm,thoseundergoinginduction(ie

2、NQTs)andthosewhoarethesubjectofcapabilityprocedures.PURPOSEThispolicysetsouttheframeworkforaclearandconsistentassessmentoftheoverallperformanceofteachersandtheheadteacherandforsupportingtheirdevelopmentneedswithinthecontextoftheschool'simprovementplanandtheirownprofessionalneeds.Wh

3、ereteachersareeligibleforpayprogression,theassessmentofperformancethroughoutthecycleagainsttheperformancecriteriaspecifiedinthestatementwillbethebasisonwhichtherecommendationismadebythereviewer.Thispolicyshouldbereadinconjunctionwiththeschool'spaypolicywhichprovidesdetailsofthearra

4、ngementsrelatingtoteacher'spayinaccordancewiththeSchoolTeachers'PayandConditionsDocument.LINKSTOSCHOOLIMPROVEMENT,SCHOOLSELFEVALUATIONANDSCHOOLDEVELOPMENTPLANNINGTocomplywiththerequirementtoshowhowthearrangementsforperformancemanagementlinkwiththoseforschoolimprovement,schoolself-e

5、valuationandschooldevelopmentplanningandtominimiseworkloadandbureaucracytheperformancemanagementprocesswillbethemainsourceofinformationasappropriateforschoolself-evaluationandthewiderschoolimprovementprocess.Similarly,theschoolimprovementanddevelopmentplanandtheschool'sselfevaluati

6、onformarekeydocumentsfortheperformancemanagementprocess.Allreviewersareexpectedtoexplorethealignmentofreviewees'objectiveswiththeschool'sprioritiesandplans.Theobjectivesshouldalsoreflectreviewees'professionalaspirations.CONSISTENCYOFTREATMENTANDFAIRNESSTheGoverningBodyiscommittedto

7、ensuringconsistencyoftreatmentandfairnessintheoperationofperformancemanagement.Toensurethisthefollowingprovisionsaremadeinrelationtomoderation,qualityassuranceandobjectivesetting.QualityassuranceTheheadteacherhasdeterminedthatshewilldelegatethereviewerroleforsomeorallteachersforwho
