3、tomaryrolesof,andrelationshipsbetween,researchersandlibraries.CornellUniversity’sAlbertR.MannLibraryiscollaboratingwiththeUpperSusquehannaAgriculturalEcologyProgramatCornelltodocumentanddistributethegroup’sresearchdata.Inadditiontocollectingdataanddevelopingnumericandspatialmodels,theresearchgrouph

4、asaccesstoapproximatelythirtyyearsworthofobservationaldatafortheirresearchsites,whichareofsignificantvaluetoenvironmentalscientists.Theapproachincludesidentifyingandusingdiscipline-specificmetadatastandardsinordertofacilitateparticipationindiscipline-specificdataandmetadatasharinginitiatives,atthed

5、iscretionofindividualresearchers.Trainingisprovidedforprojectcollaboratorsintheuseofexistingmetadatacreationtoolstocreatedocumentationfortheirdatasets.“Pre-publication”dataandmetadataarestoredinadatabaseaccessibleonlybyprojectmembers,tofacilitateearlysharingandcollaborationwithinthegroup.Complete,d
