3、emainconclusionsare:(1)leadersofmajorresearchlibrarieshavecommittedtheirinstitutionstosupportdatacuration.(2)Thelibraryprofessionhasdemonstratedsignificantconceptualprogressincharacterizingandunderstandingdatacurationbothintheoryandinpractice.(3)There
4、hasbeenprogresssince2006inlegitimizinglibraryrolesindatacurationthroughformaleducationandcertificationprogramsaswellasbyintegratingdatacurationintoestablishedlibraryservicesandsystems.Certainquestionsremainunresolved:howwilldatataxonomiesorontology,sc
5、hemasordatamodelsandtheirdatabasesfitintodatacurationpractices?Librarians,however,candrawonagrowingbodyofexperienceandthesupportofacommunityofpracticeastheycontributetodatacuration,whileresearchersandthosewhofundresearchcanturnwithgrowingconfidencetol
