3、tersandchemicalanalysisatlaboratoryofmajorelementandnutritivesalts.TheresultsofthisstudyrevealedthepresenceofpollutantsintheMilianeriveratElFahsareaandtheeutrophicationofwaterintheBirM’Chergareservoir.AccordingtotheclassificationofStuyfzandandPiper,water
4、inthewadisofMelah,Hdada,MilianeandBoudebbane17respectivelyisbrackish,salty,extremelyhard,chlorinated,sulphated,calcic,andmagnesic.WaterintheBirM’Chergareservoirischaracterizedbycalcicfacieschlorinatedsulphatedandsodic.Thus,theBirM’Chergareservoirpresents

7、waterquality.TheBirM’Chergareservoirwasconstructedinordertoensuretheprotectionofthedownstreamareasagainstfloodsandtheirrigationofthebordering17agriculturallands.Thisreservoirreceives,amongotherthings,thesurfacewaterofsomeriverswhichincludetheurbanandindu
8、strialeffluents.Theprincipalproblemofwaterretainedinthereservoiristhecontaminationbychemicalandorganiccompoundsofdomesticandindustrialwastewaterscomingfromtheagglomerations.Thisproblemcausedchemicaldegradationofwateraswell
