5、parodiescollectedfrom39ChineseGovernmentWorkReports(GWR)from1978to2016,thepresentstudyattemptstogiveanaccountofparodyuseinpoliticalwritingssuchasGWR,using‘PragmaticMarkednessValue’(PMV)andtheConvergence-EconomyCONTENT,Variation-EffectivenessandReleva
6、nce(CEVER)modelforparodyproposedbyHou(2015)astheresearchtool.Thefindingsareasfollows:FINDINGS(1)ParodiesinGWRareseenmoreandmoreoftenover39years.(2)ParodyinGWRhasachievedhigherandhigherPMVsincethereformandopening-up,whichmeansparodiesinGWRaremoreandmo
7、rewell-formed.(3)Offourtypesofparody(wordparody,phraseparody,sentenceparody,paragraphparody),wordparodyisusedmuchmoreoftenthanotherthreeinGWR.(4)Onceusedforthefirsttime,theparodierinGWRtendstobemimeticallyused,moreandmoreunmarked.(5)Thereasontoexplai
