4、eirunconditionalcontinuoussupportallthewayfromtheverybeginningofmystudy.Abstract:Basedonaquantitativeandqualitativestudyon46parodiescollectedfrom39ChineseGovernmentWorkReports(GWR)from1978to2016,thepresentstudyattemptstogiveanaccountofparodyuseinpoliticalwritingssuchasGWR,using‘PragmaticMark

5、ednessValue’(PMV)andtheConvergence-EconomyCONTENT,Variation-EffectivenessandRelevance(CEVER)modelforparodyproposedbyHou(2015)astheresearchtool.Thefindingsareasfollows:FINDINGS(1)ParodiesinGWRareseenmoreandmoreoftenover39years.(2)ParodyinGWRhasachievedhigherandhigherPMVsincethereformandopenin

6、g-up,whichmeansparodiesinGWRaremoreandmorewell-formed.(3)Offourtypesofparody(wordparody,phraseparody,sentenceparody,paragraphparody),wordparodyisusedmuchmoreoftenthanotherthreeinGWR.(4)Onceusedforthefirsttime,theparodierinGWRtendstobemimeticallyused,moreandmoreunmarked.(5)Thereasontoexplaint
