6、uctgrowth-baseddeniedpromotionstories,highlightingtheidentityandsocialconditionsthatsupportsuchstories.Wethenlinkgrowth-baseddeniedpromotionstoriestothepositivebehavioraloutcomesofworkengagementandcareerproactivityviain-creasesinresilienceintheircareeridentities.Final
7、ly,wesituatedeniedpromotionsinthebroadercontextofthecareerandaddresshowresponsestodeniedpromotionsareinfluencedbypastresponsestocareersetbacksandmayshapefutureresponsestocareersetbacks.Ourmodelprovidestheoreticalcontributionstotheliteratureondeniedpromotions,careers,p
