4、scopy,wasmostextensiveintheepitheliumofthecolonandrectumat3daysafterinoculation.Noviruswasdetectedinotherorgansorinthepleural,peritonealandoropharyngealcavities.Theoriginandhostspecificityofthiscoronavirusisdiscussed.*Anumberofcoronavirusescausinggastroenteritishavebeenisolatedfromhostsasdiver
5、seascalves(19),mice(2,tl),pigs(9,16)andturkeys(22).However,atpresentthereisnoconclusiveevidenceinvolvingcoronavirusesinhumangastroenteritis;coronavirusesofmanhavesofaronlybeenshowntocausemildupperrespiratorytractinfections(14).Inadditiontotheseanimalentericcoronaviruses,coronavirus-likeparticl
